WHAT are the best ways to engage in problem-based learning (PBL)? Is PBL a suitable model for young learners? How can technology be used to facilitate such learning?

The 2nd International Problem-Based-Learning Symposium, which officially opened on Wednesday, hopes to answer these questions and more at the end of its three-day run.

The event, hosted by the Republic Polytechnic (RP), gathers more than 480 delegates from all over the world including Australia, the United Kingdom, China and South Africa, at the RP campus to share experiences and scientific research, and to challenge norms surrounding the PBL model.
