Guide to P1 registration

Children born on or between Jan 2, 2003 and Jan 1, 2004, due to start school next year, will come under the registration exercise beginning in two weeks. The exercise will run from July 7 till Aug 28.

As the cohort starting school next year will be 10 per cent smaller than those of the past few years, the Education Ministry has adjusted the number of school places available to reflect this.

All primary and full schools will open for registration from Mondays to Fridays between 8am and 11am and between 2.30pm and 4.30pm during the registration period.

Here's a step-by-step guide to the process, along with other useful information, including the opening of a new school and the relocation of six others.
