Aspiring chefs can apply for scholarships from German appliance manufacturer Miele to study at the Sunrice Academy.

The Miele Guide Culinary Scholarship Programme is inviting applications from chefs aged 18 to 29 for two scholarships to the academy's 15-month course. The Miele-WSQ-At-Sunrice Scholarship is open to Singapore citizens and PRs. The second scholarship, the Miele-At-Sunrice Scholarship, is for foreigners who are citizens or PRs of countries evaluated by the Miele Guide 2009/2010.

The scholarship programme was introduced last year and recipients will receive a WSQ Diploma in Culinary Arts. The scholarship covers the course fees of $23,000.
