MANY have voiced out the deteriorating moral values of Malaysians. I had first-hand experience of this, and that too at the hands of someone attached to an education institution.
A mother, her children and I were waiting behind the yellow line for the aero train at KL International Airport when a man in a black T-shirt embroided with the name of a university cut in front of us.
He had a group of foreign female students with him whom he asked to cut in as well, totally disregarding those who were already standing there.
When the mother commented that we were all queuing up, the man gave her a look and just said 'diplomat'. He then continued to ask the group to stand in front of us, forcing us to move back.
When the aero train arrived, one of students pushed me away to get into the train. I was shocked and obviously very angry.
Seeing my expression, the man asked very threateningly 'What's the problem?' He then told someone behind me that the students were diplomats who came to Malaysia to study.
Is this the kind of example one sets for students? I was not only very angry but totally embarrassed by his behaviour.
It doesn't matter who these students were or where they came from, there were others who were already in line waiting and the least he could do was ask permission to board first, which wasn't necessary, as the trains appear every few minutes.
EMBARRASSED,
Kuala Lumpur.
