STUDENTS of Holy Innocents' Primary School have been spending an hour every week since July deepening their appreciation for the Chinese culture.
Primary 1s and 2s, for instance, pick up Chinese speech and drama, while pupils from higher levels master the use of wooden clappers to accompany speech and cross-talking techniques.
Such flagship programmes, designed to enrich the learning of Chinese language and culture, are examples of how Special Assistance Plan (SAP) schools here are reinventing themselves and injecting 'new zest into the education sector', said Senior Minister of State for National Development and Education Grace Fu on Friday
