WHO'S laughing now?
A form teacher in a well-known English language school in Taiwan ordered a student who made fun of him to stand and laugh for one hour, said an unhappy parent.
Even though the boy, whose age was not mentioned in the report, could not keep laughing, the teacher insisted, until the boy started crying and vomited, the parent alleged. And all because the boy said: 'Our teacher had an extramarital affair.'
The boy's father told Apple Daily Taiwan that in May, the teacher's wife had stormed into the classroom where they had a loud argument, which ended only when the police arrived.
A few days later, while his son was playing with classmates in the classroom, the boy yelled the offending words.
The father said he realised something was wrong when he found his child crying. But the boy refused to tell him what was wrong. He found out only when he called up his son's classmates' parents.
He then called the school to complain.
Apple Daily reported that the teacher stressed that he had already settled the matter with the parents, and said that the punishment didn't last an hour.
