I AM writing about the report 'Grave insult' (The New Paper, 4 Sep).
Firstly, being a teen myself, I find this kind of act extremely disappointing. Still, I hope the family members are not going to keep it in their hearts as the teens have apologised profusely and everyone makes mistakes at times.
It is not about the article itself that I want to comment, but about something Mr Anthony said.
This was his comment: 'At least two of them are junior college graduates. If they don't know what's right and wrong now, what does it say of our youth?'
Is he saying that only JC students know what's right and wrong? How about poly or ITE graduates?
What is that line supposed to mean?
Being a poly student myself, I believe this comment (stereotypes students like me).
It seems to be saying that teens from other institutions are irresponsible and disrespectful, and only JC graduates deserve a second chance.
I believe young people should never be judged by what school or instituition they come from.
To understand someone's true attitude, you have to get to know the person, not go by the uniform or clothes he or she is wearing.
