I refer to last Sunday's report, 'Rise in teen sex? Blame it on the Net, say experts'. It is ironic that while there are laws to prevent teenagers from watching movies with sexual content in cinemas, they can easily access pornography on the Internet at home.
It is high time parents found out what their children are up to when they surf the Net. They can do this by installing monitoring software, which can track websites their children visit. They should also bar the youngsters from accessing undesirable websites.
Parents should also talk to their teens frankly about sex and values. This will help prevent them from getting the wrong information from their friends or the Net.
