Ms Ho Peng, Director-General of Education, will present the Certificates of Appointment to the Principals and Minister for Education, Dr Ng Eng Hen, will grace the ceremony as Guest-of-Honour.

Among the 31 newly appointed Principals is Vice-Principal of Maris Stella High School, Mr Joseph Lim Choon Kiat. Mr Lim will assume the new role of principal of the school.

Vice-principal of Beatty Secondary School, Mr Shaw Swee Tat, will now serve as principal.

The other 29 serving Principals and HQ officers will be assuming new appointments.

Principal of Jurong Junior College, Mr Koh Yong Chiah, will be assuming the role of principal of Innova Junior College, while principal of Nanyang Primary School, Mdm Heng Boey Hong, will serve as principal of Nanyang Girls' High School.

The process of systematically appointing and rotating Principals not only enables schools to benefit from the infusion of fresh perspectives, but also gives Principals the opportunity to take on different challenges as part of their career development.
