Times Bookstores

What's going on: Established in 1978, this home-grown bookstore chain has adopted a more contemporary look since 2002 to keep up with the times.

Despite difficulties faced by the chain during the recession, Times opened a new, 7,000 sq ft flagship store at Tampines 1 in April.

Besides retailing best-selling fiction books, non-fiction titles and magazines, its new main store also has a section for assessment books and educational reference titles to cater to the many schools in the area.

Times is also exploring introducing new products and services that are convenient and that will complement the lifestyle of its customers in the future.
