A SOLAR car built by a team of 23 engineering students, alumni and staff from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), called Nanyang Venture II, finished 12th last Friday in a global solar-car race.

A total of 31 cars had taken part in the World Solar Challenge in Australia, a 3,000km race from Darwin to Adelaide, which had flagged off last Sunday.

The race was won by the team from Tokai University, Japan.
