Singapore, 4 October 2010 - The AsiaOne People's Choice Awards 2010 gets bigger with 31 categories, including 13 brand new ones being introduced this year. The online nomination is now open till 31 October 2010 at http://www.asiaone.com/specials/pca2010/
Acting on its readers' feedback and suggestions, AsiaOne has made some changes to its previous categories to come up with the list this year. The 13 brand new categories are:
1. Top 10 Asian Restaurants
2. Top 10 Western Restaurants
3. Top 10 Hawkers
4. Top 10 Hotels in Singapore
5. Top 10 Travel Agencies in Singapore
6. Top 10 Skincare products
7. Top 10 Make-up products
8. Top 10 Haircare products
9. Top 10 Hair Styling products
10. Top 10 Body Care products
11. Top 10 Health Supplements
12. Top 10 Compact Cameras
13. Top 10 DSLR Cameras
Organised by AsiaOne, Singapore Press Holdings' (SPH) leading news and lifestyle web portal, the People's Choice Awards is a testament of the popularity as well as the public's acceptance of the nominated brand names and products, as determined by AsiaOne's audience.
In its third year, the Awards raise the visibility of participating companies and help them enhance their advertising and promotional activities to better engage their consumers. It also helps to strengthen their relationships with their targeted market segments. Since its inception, the Awards have been welcomed as a new and exciting avenue to raise brand awareness and bring product offerings to a wide yet targeted audience provided by AsiaOne.

Companies, advertising and media agencies, professional associations and members of the public can send in their nominations for one or more categories for the People's Choice Awards 2010.
The final results will be based entirely on readers' voting of the shortlisted candidates, followed by a presentation ceremony to celebrate with all award winners. Voting by AsiaOne readers will start in November and the final results will be announced in the first quarter of 2011.
Last year's winners included Crystal Jade Golden Palace at Paragon for Chinese restaurants, Volkswagen Golf for Hatchbacks, Apple MacBook Pro for laptops, DBS Bank for banks, and Singapore Institute of Management for private schools (post-graduate programmes).
