SPH's AsiaOne portal is advertisers' pick

SINGAPORE Press Holdings' (SPH's) AsiaOne has clinched the top spot as the digital news portal most preferred among advertisers.

In Marketing Magazine's Digital Media of the Year 2011, the free-to-access website came in tops under the news category, while The Straits Times clinched the third spot.

SPH's digital-media platforms also came in tops in Luxury; Tech; Business and Finance; Men; and Recruitment.

The Peak, Hardwarezone.com, The Business Times, Men's Health and ST701 clinched the top spots respectively in those categories.

The 16 categories included social media, search, ad networks, property and travel. The results were based on a recent survey of 603 respondents, of whom 410 were from the client-advertiser side and 193 from the agency side.

Respondents included chief executives, managing directors, vice-presidents and director-level marketers.
