LOS ANGELES - A collection of original Andy Warhol artwork worth millions of dollars has been stolen from a private collector's home in Los Angeles, according to police.

The collection - which included 10 pieces made between 1977 and 1979 depicting famous athletes - was discovered stolen from a home belonging to businessman Richard Weisman on September 3, police said.

The theft was discovered by an employee, police said.

A reward of one million dollars is being offered for information leading to the recovery of the paintings, police said.
