KUALA LUMPUR - Get ready to party hard as world renowned British deejay Fatboy Slim will be manning the decks at the Malaysian F1 Grand Prix 2010 post-race party on April 4 in Sepang.
"There's going to be fireworks ... in the English sense of the word," the deejay said in a recent phone interview.
"There won't be actual fireworks ... well, I don't know, maybe there will be fireworks at the show but expect musical and visual fireworks!"
Fatboy Slim, whose real name is Norman Cook, has achieved considerable success as a dance act worldwide since the late 1990s and has thrilled audience over the years with his singles such as Rockafeller Skank, Praise You, Right Here, Right Now, Sunset (Bird of Prey) and Weapon of Choice.
The deejay, from Brighton, England, played to a well-received show here in 2002.
The 46-year-old music veteran, however, will not just be rehashing his songs for the upcoming F1 show but will work the crowd by spinning dance music and picking out tunes at random.
"I'm a deejay, so I'll be playing what's new, some other stuff and some of my songs. It's going to be a dance party rather than a Fatboy Slim party. I don't play just my own songs when I'm deejaying," he added.
Whatever Fatboy Slim is spinning, it's sure to be a rip-roaring affair.
On top of that, acclaimed rapper Wyclef Jean will also be here, so don't miss the hottest party this year at the post-race event.
The party will be held at the Helipad, Sepang International Circuit, from 6pm on April 4, right after the F1 race.
