Gunshot heard at VivoCity, Cisco officer found dead

SINGAPORE - A male auxillary police officer was found dead in a toilet at VivoCity.  He was found with a suspected gunshot wound. 

A check with the police revealed that they had received a call at 6pm about a gunshot.

The Certis Cisco officer was found in a toilet located on the first floor, with the door of the cubicle locked from the inside.

A local media agency reported that the officer was found in his uniform, with a gunshot wound to his head, and his service revolver beside him.

He was pronounced dead by paramedics at 6.30pm.

The dead man has been identified as a 25-year-old Malaysian Indian, who had been working for the company for three years.

According to The Straits Times, the officer was on duty earlier at Citibank branch in the shopping mall, where he had been deployed as a security officer.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
