A cleaner was charged in court today with molesting a 74-year-old woman, reported The Straits Times.
Tan See Kwan, 45, allegedly pulled the woman's blouse and grabbed her neck at Blk 206 in Toa Payoh North on Tuesday evening.
He was remanded at Tanglin police division for further investigation.
The prosecution told the court that he is likely to face similar charges against elderly women. Lianhe Wanbao reported that the accused had attacked a 79-year-old lady in May and stabbed her with a knife.
He had aimed for her abdomen, but her hand was in front of her stomach and was cut instead. Madam Toh needed eight stitches on her hand. Her family reported the matter to the police.
The accused will appear in court on July 20. If convicted, he faces two years' jail, fine, caning or any combined punishment.
