S'pore's women table-tennis team in semis

Singapore's women paddlers advanced to the table-tennis team semifinals in the Beijing Olympics after defeating the Netherlands 3-0.

Singapore has so far won all three of their group matches. The team beat both seventh-ranked United States and Nigeria 3-0 on Wednesday.

Results

Feng Tianwei (SIN) beat Li Jiao (Netherlands) 11-9, 10-12, 10-12, 11-5, 11-8

Li Jiawei (SIN) beat Timina Elena (Netherlands) 14-12, 11-2, 11-3

Wang Yuegu/Li Jiawei (SIN) beat Li Jie/Timina Elena (Netherlands) 11-8, 5-11,6-11, 11-6, 11-7
