Watch out for dangerman Thang
Sun, Dec 21, 2008

He may not be as prolific as his strike partner, but forward Nguyen Viet Thang is showing himself to be every bit as dangerous as Vietnam's golden boy Le Cong Vinh.

The 27-year-old scored the opening goal in the team's 4-0 win over Laos and had their best chance in Hanoi on Wednesday, but saw his shot bounce off the post after beating Singapore's Lionel Lewis.

By contrast, Vinh, who made domestic headlines with his V-League record US$500,000 (S$750,000) transfer in September, was neutralised by the Lions in the first leg of the Suzuki Cup semi-final at Hanoi's My Dinh Stadium.
