Soccer star David Beckham spoke out during a unique global event in which 600 millions of Yahoo! users around the world participated in interviewing him.

The interview took place live in London and connected fans by video from 18 other countries over 90 minutes.

Interesting snippets:

If you weren't involved in sports at all what career would you choose?

I love drawing cartoons and love building Lego.

This is going to make me sound really weird, when I was in Milan I had a lot of time on my hands and found on line that there's Taj Mahal lego set you can buy so I bought it. I didn't get to finish it though. I know it's not a career but I love it, my boys are the same, they're obsessed.

You're known as one of most stylish men in world, who/what is your style inspiration?

Style icon? Steve McQueen is a style icon, he looked amazing in everything he wore, even jeans and white t-shirt. He pulled it off.

Getting ready to go out in the evening, do you ever look at each other attire and have doubts?

Victoria always looks great. People ask if we combine clothes but we don't, it's coincidence but there are a few outfits over the years we regret. One time Victoria wore leather trousers and a leather jacket and I wore leather trousers and a jacket.

Victoria looked good but now looking back, I'm not so sure. But I like a bit of variety. I wear suits but I also like to wear jeans, tshirts and flipflops.

Does Victoria ever tell you no?

Sometimes.

I understand your wardrobe has to be immaculate?

Yes, mine is. I'm very fussy about how my shirts are arranged. Victoria's is a mess with jumpers hanging out of the drawers and I rearrange it when she's gone downstairs.

A little bit OCD?

A little bit!

If you weren't David Beckham, who would you be?

Steve McQueen or Zidane but like I said before, Zidane is the best player in the world. He is like a ballerina. You're amazed by what they can do and it's amazing what he can do with a football. Off the field, I'd have to go with Steve McQueen.

What makes Victoria laugh?

Apart from my dancing, watching the kids do certain things, tell jokes, talk about their time at school, they make us laugh every day.

Can you pick 3 things you can't live without?

Can I pick four? Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo & Cruz

What about the hysteria? We get used to you in the UK but what about when you arrive at an airport and hundreds of thousands of people.

I never see myself like that so to have that reaction is amazing. Sometimes people cry in front of me and you kind of just hug them! Especially the girls. But when I go to the Far East it really is the most amazing scenes.

Yes, I had different hair cut then (in Korea for 2002 FIFA World Cup) , I had the Mohican and I remember seeing young mums carrying their two-year-olds with the same hair cut.

Which are your favourite tattoos and do you have plans for anymore?

I do have room! I have restricted them to my arms and back. My wife doesn't like to touch my chest. I mean, she does but doesn't want me to get tattoos there! I'm a big fan of tattoos.

Each one has a meaning, my advice to people is don't just pick one and have it done when you're drunk! Each one has a meaning.

My favourites are probably my boys' names on my back and my wife's name on my arm. I'm a big fan, maybe I'll have more but my mum will kill me.

If you weren't a professional footballer, any other sport you'd like to have played professionally?

I'd have to say basketball player for the Lakers. I've always been a fan of basketball but since I moved to LA I've gone to all the games. We have a hoop in the garden, Romeo's very good and very accurate. I nearly broke my thumb the other day trying to dunk it.

If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be and why?

Determined. I've always believed in this from a young age, determination is a huge part of life and tell this to my boys.
