1 DIET:

  • Under Ramos:

Restrictions on food served at the training ground, resulting in players sneaking off to a local Italian restaurant.

Ramos, along with fitness coach Marcos Alvarez, had imposed tight limits on how much, and what, the players could eat, reported The Independent.

  • Under Redknapp:

Since arriving, Redknapp has kept the popular chef Kevin Marshall, and although it's still healthy food that's served at the training ground, there are no limits on the size of the portions that the players are served.

Redknapp's philosophy is that he wants his players to eat well and the relaxation of the rules has meant that there is usually a full canteen for breakfast now.

    2 HOTEL STAY:

  • Under Ramos:

Had to stay at the Radisson Hotel in Canary Wharf before all home games despite the fact that the vast majority of the squad live close to the training ground in Chigwell, Essex.

On the evenings before match days, all players had to go first to the training ground to leave their cars there even if they live in Canary Wharf. This was particularly annoying for Jonathan Woodgate, who's apartment is just around the corner from the hotel.

From the club car park, the team coach then takes them back to the hotel.

    Under Redknapp:

Players can stay at home the night before home games.

    3 LEDLEY KING:

  • Under Ramos:

Ledley King was used mainly for the Uefa Cup, retaining the cup was one of Ramos' obsessions.

  • Under Redknapp:

King is being used only in Premier League matches.

Redknapp has told his captain that he does not want him to play in any cup games and just to concentrate on getting himself fit for league matches.

He will play in cup games only if Spurs reach the final.

    4 UNWANTED PLAYERS:

  • Under Ramos:

Kevin-Prince Boateng, Paul Stalteri, Ricardo Rocha, Adel Taarabt, Ben Alnwick (now on loan at Carlisle United) and Hossam Ghaly were all not given squad numbers. They even had to change in the reserve-team dressing room.

  • Under Redknapp:

All are back in the side and Boateng, the Best Young Player in Germany in 2006, even featured as a late substitute against Liverpool in the 4-2 League Cup win.

    5 RIGHT COACHES:

  • Under Ramos:

Assembled his own team some of whom hardly spoke English, and lacked any rapport with the players.

  • Under Redknapp:

He has brought back ex-Spurs stars into his coaching team to help lighten the mood.

Among them are Tim Sherwood and Les Ferdinand.
