SINGAPORE'S Lam Chih Bing finished tied for 60th place after shooting an even-par 72 in the final round of the WGC-HSBC Champions yesterday.

For his four-day effort of four-over 292 (71-74-75-72) total, Lam took home US$33,750 ($47,000).

It has been an eye-opener for the Republic's top golfer, who was paired with Barclays Singapore Open champion Ian Poulter and PGA Tour veteran Jerry Kelly in the final round yesterday.

He said: 'It has been a wonderful week. I always enjoy playing with the big names, even though Poulter didn't play as well as he did in Singapore last week.

'But it has been a good learning experience for me watching how the star players control their shots and plan their strategy around the course.'
