More obscene photos hit the Net

HONG KONG - It isn't over yet.

Six more obscene photos hit the Net on Tuesday afternoon, hours after the 23-year-old man police believe is the source of the pictures was charged with accessing a computer with criminal intent.

Three of the new photos seem to show celebrities Gillian Chung, Cecilia Cheung and Bobo Chan, each performing a sexual act on an unidentifiable man, said Apple Daily.

The other three pictures appear to feature a Japanese adult actress and an unidentifiable woman, the report said.

All had been quiet on Hong Kong online forums after police made eight arrests over the circulation of at least 10 racy photos that seem to show actor Edison Chen, Chung, Cheung and Chan.

Police said the 23-year-old man copied the pictures from a computer taken to a shop to be serviced, and posted them online.

On Monday, Chen - who is believed to own the computer that contained the photos - apologised 'to anyone who has been affected by this strange, strange ordeal' in a video statement.

He also asked the public not to disseminate the pictures.

But on Tuesday, law-fearing netizens started spreading the new photos through e-mail and MSN.

This came after the police said on Monday that it is not illegal for friends to share X-rated articles privately.
