FOUR Malaysian men were charged on Monday with killing a 23-year-old cleaner in Tuas last week.

No plea was taken from Kuwee Ngu Lee Sing, 20; Achai Anak Barat, 24; Jusni Anak Othman, 27; and Bajing Anak Giri, 31.

The men were ordered to be remanded for a week for further investigations.

They are accused of murdering Mr Sangga Anak Runggah between 10.25pm on Thursday and 10.30am the next day.

Mr Sangga's body was found inside a steel storage room that doubles as a rest area in a building at 35 Tech Park Crescent in Tuas.

He was wearing only black underwear and had stab wounds on his chest and arms.

The five-storey building, which once housed as many as 500 foreign workers, has been sold and residents have been told to leave by the end of this month.

The penalty for murder is death by hanging.
