Edison Chen 'prayed every day'

HONG KONG - Edison Chen, the bad boy of the recent sex photo scandal, prayed every day after the scandal broke out but he did not become a Christian because of it.

Recent reports had said that Chen, who quit Hong Kong showbiz and went to the United States just before the scandal blew over, had adopted Christianity in repentance over the scandal. He was said to have befriended a Californian pastor.

But his elder sister Tricia, a singer, said Chen had converted when he attended a Christian school in his youth.

At a Mother's Day function on Sunday, she said: 'He prayed every day after the sex photo incident, hoping that things would settle.'

She said her brother grew so thin because of the scandal that he looked 10 years older. 'But my mother and I saw him recently and he has started eating and jogging again. He has become very positive. He's busy in the US, with meetings and castings and being signed on with William Morris Agency,' she added.
