Customised bling for extra sparkle

JEWELLERS should consider making customised designs for their clients to capitalise on the booming high-end sector of the market, said Minister of State for Trade and IndustryLee Yi Shyan yesterday.

He told visitors at the opening ceremony of the fourth Singapore International Jewellery Show that local jewellers ought to focus on design and innovation to meet the needs of this group of discerning customers.

After all, he said, it was design and innovation that had 'enabled local jewellers to move beyond Singapore and make inroads into overseas markets'.
