Maid murder: Accused opts not to testify

HE WILL hang if convicted of murdering his Indonesian girlfriend but Kamrul Hasan Abdul Quddus has chosen to remain silent in his defence.

The Bangladeshi construction worker had earlier been advised by Justice Kan Ting Chiu that a decision not to testify could reflect badly on his case.

Lawyers for Kamrul, 35, also told the High Court yesterday that they will not call any witnesses.
