TWO executives from a local company dealing in smoke ventilation systems appeared in court on bribery charges yesterday.

Chan Yew Chong, managing director of Rhythme Technology, was charged with giving a $25,000 bribe to a man who in turn awarded him a contract with Singapore Press Holdings (SPH).

The 45-year-old allegedly bribed Mr Lin Hong Tat in return for his company getting a smoke control system installation contract for SPH's headquarters.
