EIGHT victims, most of whom were aged 60 to 79, were conned by two men out of about $25,000 in cash and valuables in a little over a week.

They all fell prey to the 'drop money' scam, said the police yesterday.

It works like this: The first conman drops a wallet near the victim. His accomplice picks it up, alerts the victim to the find and offers to split the cash between the two of them.
