Donations pour in for Siglap mosque

A MOSQUE volunteer received a surprise as he alighted from a cab on Thursday: The Chinese taxi driver handed him money for the Kampung Siglap Mosque's rebuilding efforts.

That donation was just one of many that have poured in since Tuesday, when a blaze gutted the East Coast mosque's two-storey prayer building and its wing.

More than $10,000 has been collected so far, said mosque chairman Nailul Hafiz Abdul Rahim.
