Qantas wins airline award for 3rd time

It's a hat-trick for Qantas Airways.

The Australian airline picked up the "Best Pacific Airline" award for the third year running at the recent Travel Trade Gazette (TTG) Travel Awards.

This award is bestowed yearly to the most outstanding performer who has shown strong commitment towards service excellence in the Asia-Pacific travel industry.

Qantas Airways was nominated by readers from a range of TTG publications, including TTG Asia, TTG China, and Travel Trade Gazette Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conventions and Exhibitions (TTGmice).

Qantas - Australia's largest domestic and international carrier - made headlines earlier this month when a Singapore-Perth flight took a sudden mid-air plunge, resulting in passenger injuries.

The 19th TTG Travel Awards ceremony was held in Bangkok, Thailand on October 10.
