SINGAPORE, May 19, 2009 (AFP) - Singapore Airlines (SIA) said Tuesday it has signed an expanded codesharing agreement with EgyptAir, the national airline of Egypt.
Under the expanded pact, which takes effect June 1, passengers will be able to fly to Dubai from Singapore on the Asian carrier and catch a connecting flight to Cairo with EgyptAir, SIA said in a statement.
Passengers can make similar arrangements on the return leg.
SIA passengers can also book tickets with EgyptAir to destinations such as Luxor and Sharm el-Sheikh, the statement said.
EgyptAir passengers will be able to buy SIA tickets to fly from Singapore to Bangkok, Melbourne and Sydney.
