4 more bodies from QZ8501 identified: Police

On the ninth day of the search and rescue (SAR) operation surrounding AirAsia flight QZ8501, the National Police's Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team has identified four more bodies out of the 162 people on board the Airbus A320 plane.

The National Police's health and medical department head Brig. Gen. Arthur Tampi announced on Monday afternoon that the DVI team had identified four bodies - codenamed B005, B021, B002 and B029 - which were recovered by the joint SAR team last week.

"Based on primary identification data, the body labelled B005 is Shiane Josal, a 45-year-old woman who lived in Makassar [South Sulawesi]. She wore a black shirt and jeans during the flight," Arthur told the press in Surabaya, East Java on Monday.

The body labelled B022 is said to be Tony Linaksita, a 42-year-old man who resided in Surabaya. His son, 11-year-old Greyson Herbert Linaksita, was earlier identified by the DVI team on Friday.

The bodies labelled B021 and B029 were those of Lim Yan Koen and Yongki Jou, respectively, Arthur said.

"Lim Yan Koen was a 61-year-old male and Yongki Jou was a 53-year-old male. Both of them lived in Surabaya," he added.
