A total of 80 Thais have so far been evacuated from embattled Yemen and have arrived home, the Foreign Ministry said.
Of them, 48 returned on Sunday with the help of the Thai Embassy in Oman. The group, comprising 15 men, 27 women and six children, left Yemen by bus for Oman on Saturday and were provided with accommodation and food before departing for Thailand.
This is the fourth group of Thai nationals to leave Yemen, the ministry said, adding that a total of 125 Thais have registered with the embassy to return home as the situation in Yemen is deteriorating with violence and fighting.
The remaining Thais are in the process of being evacuated and the authorities will give priority to safety when bringing them back.
