Abandoned dog in Thailand waits for months for owner’s return
Loyal dog waits for its owner for months in Phuket, Thailand.

The movie, Hachiko, brought tears to many who viewed it, and if you thought that a dog's loyalty to its owner was grossly exaggerated in the movie, then you are wrong.

A dog, abandoned by the roadside by his owner, was spotted waiting by the same area -- for over two months.

According to website Reshareworthy, the incredible dog was first noticed by a motorist travelling in Phuket, Thailand.

He returned daily to see if the owner came back for his dog.

Stories of the dog soon spread and although a few kind people have tried helping him, the dog was reluctant to let anyone approach him.

Some left umbrellas to shelter him and food, which the dog ate sparingly.

Never once did the dog leave his spot as he waited for his owner.

"It was as if he was afraid that if he left his spot, he might miss his owners driving by," commented a passerby.

As the time went on, photos of the dog's gradually deteriorating health circulated online.

Things continue to look bleak, until someone informed the Soi Dog Rescue and the dog was promptly rescued.

Still the greatest news of all, the dog got adopted a few days after being rescued.
