PETALING JAYA - AirAsia and AirAsia X have diverted or rescheduled several flights to Bali following the closure of the Ngurah Rai International Airport due to volcanic activity on Mount Raung.
The flights diverted for the day are QZ 7526 (Jakarta-Bali), QZ 503 (Singapore-Bali) and QZ 8449 (Yogyakarta-Bali).
Flights QZ 7520 (Jakarta-Bali), QZ 535 (Perth-Bali), QZ 505 (Singapore-Bali ), QZ 551 (Kuala Lumpur-Bali) and AK 376/AK 377 (Kuala Lumpur - Bali) had to be rescheduled.
"Affected guests will be notified of their flight status and the options available to them," the low-cost carrier said in a statement, Sunday.
The airline advised guests booked for Sunday's flights to check its website and social media pages for flight updates.
The airline had also rescheduled several flights departing Saturday to Shanghai, China due to Typhoon Chan-Hom.
They are Kuala Lumpur-Shanghai (vice versa) including flight D7331 which is departing Sunday, Kuala Lumpur-Hangzhou (vice versa) and Kota Kinabalu-Hangzhou (vice versa).
