Alain “The Panther” Ngalani is best known for fast finishes and devastating knockouts, and he lived up to his reputation on Saturday, 16 September.

Ngalani needed just one punch and 11 seconds to finish former ONE Heavyweight World Title challenger Hideki “Shrek” Sekine in a jaw-dropping performance at ONE: TOTAL VICTORY, live from the Jakarta Convention Center in Indonesia.

It was the fastest knockout recorded in ONE Championship’s heavyweight history, and third-fastest overall.

The battle of the behemoths was a classic striker versus grappler match-up, and that is exactly how things played out when they met in the ONE cage.

Knowing his opponent had huge power in his hands and feet, Sekine came rushing at Ngalani as soon as the bout started, desperately trying to grab onto Ngalani to get a takedown.

Sekine gave chase, but Ngalani was having none of it, as he circled away and quickly rushed out of his opponent’s grasp before setting his feet to deliver one crushing blow in return.

Ngalani delivered a straight right hand that connected flush on the former world title challenger’s jaw, and sent the Japanese giant crashing face-first into the canvas.

“The Panther” delivered one more shot on the ground before referee Yuji Shimada could rush in to stop the contest, as the Indonesian crowd erupted to cheer the highlight-reel knockout.

With the incredible 11-second victory, Ngalani moves to 4-3, 1 NC in his career, all while racking up yet another first-round finish.

Sekine falls to 7-2 overall, as he suffers his second-straight defeat after starting his career with seven consecutive victories.
