INDONESIA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has arrested Bandung Mayor Dada Rosada after questioning him for more than seven hours. Dada is currently being detained at the Cipinang detainment centre in East Jakarta.
"Dada will be detained for 20 days for further questioning," KPK spokesman Johan Budi said on Monday, Kompas.com reported.
Dada refused to comment to the media, saying he would issue a statement when the time was right.
Dada has been accused of bribing Bandung District Court judge Setyabudi Tejocahyono to rule in his favour in a graft case. The KPK also arrested city secretary Edi Siswandi, judge Setyabudi Tejocahyono, city official Hery Nurhayat, Dada's aide Toto Hutagalung and a man called Asep Triana.
