Bhutan's King and Queen share photos of little prince on royal visit

The six-month-old heir apparent to the Bhutanese throne Prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck made an appearance at the kingdom's Bumthang district on Tuesday with his parents, attracting a huge crowd paying homage to the popular royal family.

Photos of the visit were posted online by King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck on his Facebook page, and it showed the princeling being carried by his father, clad in yellow robes.

Similar photos were also posted on Queen Jetsun Pema's Facebook page, attracting over 33,000 'likes'.

On June 15, the infant Bhutanese prince also made an appearance to Dungkhar village with his parents, attracting hundreds of Bhutanese waiting to catch a glimpse of him.

Bhutan's prince was born on Feb 5, and photos of the royal baby were only revealed to the public two weeks later on Feb 21 to commemorate King Jigme Khesa Namgyel Wangchuck's 36th birthday.
