Bride and groom stuck in jam turn to public transport

A bride and groom in Xi'an, China who were headed to their wedding had to improvise their path to the ceremony, after their vehicles got stuck in a traffic jam, reported hsw.cn on Wednesday, May 20.

"The groom was on his way to fetch the bride," the event's photographer said.

"But due to traffic jam, we were all concerned about getting to the wedding hall on time," he explained.

The newly-weds-to-be and their three pairs of best men and bridesmaids then decided to take public transportation, and appeared in the subway, resulting in applause and blessings from their fellow passengers.

Their subway photos soon became online hits.
