The Minister of Home Affairs, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awg Badaruddin Pengarah Dato Paduka Hj Othman, yesterday attended the open house hosted by Singapore's Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Internal Affairs and Foreign Affairs, Masagos Zulkifli.

The event, held in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebrations, took place at the community centre of Tampines West in the city-state.

Also present was Singapore's Minister of Education, Heng Swee Keat and other grassroots leaders and local residents of various cultural backgrounds.

YB Pehin Badaruddin also attended the open house of Singapore's minister at the Ministry of National Development and Ministry of Defence, Dr Mohammad Maliki Osman.

YB Pehin Badaruddin's visit was a reciprocal visit to Masagos and several leaders from Singapore and their spouses who visited the sultanate recently in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebration.

"These visits reflect close relationship and ties between the two countries," a statement from the Ministry of Home Affairs said.

The minister is also expected to attend the Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebration hosted by Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister of Internal Affairs, Teo Chee Han next week.
