Brunei sultan receives Thai Deputy PM

HIS Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, received in audience Thailand Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister General Dato Paduka Seri Tanasak Patimapragorn at Istana Nurul Iman yesterday.

Accompanying the deputy prime minister was Thailand Acting Permanent Secretary Norachit Sinhaseni and other senior officials.

Also present were Thailand Ambassador to Brunei Apichart Phetcharatana and Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng.

Later, the deputy prime minister and his spouse, Penlaksana Patimapragorn, visited the Botanic Gardens at the 500-hectare Bio-Innovation Corridor in Tungku.

They were welcomed by the Acting Minister of Industry and Primary Resources.

A statement from the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources said the deputy prime minister planted a tree at the garden to mark his three-day visit.
