Closed-circuit cameras in China captured the shocking moment a 66ft-long wall collapsed, burying nine pedestrians on a busy street.
According to Daily Mail, the incident occurred in the northwestern city of Lanzhou in Gansu province on Sunday.
The footage showed pedestrians, including at least one child, walking along the sidewalk when strong winds appeared to blow the wall down on them.
Reporters who arrived at the scene saw rescuers frantically digging through the rubble using shovels and other tools to rescue the pedestrians following the incident.
Police cordoned off the area, which attracted a crowd of onlookers.
Daily Mail reported that one of those hit by the falling wall was killed instantly, while another died in hospital. Seven others are being treated for their injuries.
One survivor interviewed by China's CCTV News said he felt the wall coming down on him, and immediately raised his arms to shield his face before falling to the floor from the impact. The force also shattered the screen of his mobile phone.
Chinese media reported that the brick wall was the exterior wall of a residential complex. There is speculation that the wind had blown over a steel structure on a building site, which fell on the wall, causing it to collapse. Police are investigating the incident.
