INDIA - The lake was once a popular spot for anglers and the water that flowed into it during the monsoon season helped recharge the groundwater in the area. But over the years, it became a dumping ground for waste and sewage.
Now an ambitious Rs42-crore eco-restoration project looks set to rejuvenate the 15-acre lake. Plans include boating facilities, an open air auditorium, a park for children, a food court and multi-level carpark facilities.
