Child workers in India rescued

Police in Bangalore rescued 30 children employed as child labourers in various leather bag manufacturing units in the city.

The police arrested four people for employing the children after conducting simultaneous raids on several bag manufacturing units with the help of officials from the labour, health and revenue departments.

Deputy commissioner of police (crime) Abhishek Goyal said those arrested brought the children from Bihar and Nepal for employment in leather bag manufacturing units.
