Elbit Systems wins first contract in the Philippines

TEL AVIV - Israeli defence electronics firm Elbit Systems Ltd said on Sunday it was awarded a contract worth about US$20 million (S$24.98 million), for the supply of upgraded armoured personnel carriers (APCs) to the Philippines armed forces.

The APCs will be supplied over a one-year period.

The contract marks a significant breakthrough, Elbit Systems said, as it is the first one awarded to the company in the Philippines.
