INDIA - Two Indian sailors released by the Togo government on Dec 19 are back in India. Captain Sunil James (above) and third engineer Andi Vijayan were detained in July on charges of abetting piracy. Mr James's family has been actively campaigning for his release since the death of his 11-month-old son Vivaan earlier this month. The body was kept at a Mumbai hospital morgue as the family wanted Mr James to perform the last rites. A third member of the crew, arrested by Togo authorities, Ashok Chandran, will face a special trail. Ashok is a suspect as his brother is the leader of a band of pirates that attacked MT Ocean Centurion, the ship piloted by Mr James.
