Various areas in South Jakarta experienced flooding on Monday afternoon following a heavy downpour of rain.
According to the Jakarta Police's Twitter account, @TMCPoldaMetro, the floodwater was as high as 20 to 30 centimeters on Jl. Kemang Selatan at 4:05 p.m.
Flooding also reached other areas, including Jl. Siaga Raya in Pejaten Barat and in front of the post office on Jl. Tendean Mampang Prapatan Raya, resulting in traffic gridlock.
Floodwater had reached its highest point, at between 30 and 40 cm high, on Jl. Fatmawati Raya in Kebayoran Baru by 4:32 p.m.
