Hong Kong woman finds 5m python in her bedroom

A woman in Hong Kong woke up to the most terrifying sight on Jun 24 - a five metre-long and 21kg python curled up on her ceiling.

According to Apple Daily, her son had heard unusual noises from her room the night before, but did not see anything out of the ordinary.

The resident at Lei Yue Mun, Yau Tong, called the police after seeing the reptile, who arrived at her home with a trained professional - known as 'Snake King Pong' to capture the snake.

'Snake King Pong' apparently lost his balance and fell on the ground together with the huge creature, but escaped unscathed and managed to catch it eventually.

According to him, the male python was nearly 100 years old and probably snuck into the woman's house due to difficulties in finding food during the recent bad weather.

The reptile was subsequently sent to the Agricultural, Fisheries and Conservation Department.
