The Central Sulawesi Police are still investigating the identity of two people believed to be terrorists who were killed in a shoot-out with police on May 24 in Gayatri hamlet, Maranda village, North Poso Pesisir district, Poso regency.
Police spokesman Adj. Sr. Comr. Hari Suprapto said on Tuesday that the police had questioned a number of witnesses believed to know both the victims, whose bodies are still being held at the morgue at the Bhayangkara Police Hospital in Palu.
"The medical team has also taken organ samples for DNA tests and comparisons with their relatives," said Hari.
The police believe the two bodies are those of Azia, alias Papa Sifa, and Eno, alias Ano, both of Tamanjeka hamlet, Gunung Biru, Poso Pesisir.
"Both of them have long been on the police wanted list for their involvement in a series of acts of violence and terror in Poso and Sigi regencies," said Hari, adding that they were also believed to be members of the East Indonesia Mujahidin movement led by Santoso.
